After two successful and fun years, this non-auditioned choir of approximately 25-30 singers is excited to enter its third season! Music Director Annabelle Paetsch (apaetsch@shaw.ca) and choral assistant Tegan Peemoeller invite you to participate in what has become a musical bridge between church and community.   Our goals are to bring folks of all ages together to sing, learn, laugh, and experience all the documented health benefits of singing in a choir while connecting to the community.   Repertoire includes folk songs, tunes from movies and musicals, popular songs from different decades, and some local/Canadian compositions, and is shared with the congregation of St Stephen's in 20-25 minute "mini-concerts" following Sunday morning services several times a year. As well, the choir has reached out into the wider community for carolling at the Red Lion pub and longer performances at the Westerleigh and Amica Lions Gate retirement residences. We are assisted by pianist Lorna Horwood, and receive additional inspiration from flutist Nancy Riecken as well as percussion, harp, and guest vocalists.

Rehearsals are held at St Stephen's (across from the West Vancouver Community and Seniors Centres) on Thursdays 4:00-5:30 p.m., resuming September 12, 2019.   Suggested drop-in is $10 per rehearsal; advance donations per term are encouraged.

This season will be divided into three terms:

Fall/Christmas Term: Sept. 12-Dec. 12, 2019 (14 weeks)

Winter Term: Jan. 9-March 12, 2020 (10 weeks)

Spring Term: April 2-June 4, 2020 (10 weeks)

Mini-concert dates (beginning c. 11:15 a.m. in St. Stephen's sanctuary) and related repertoire themes are as follows:
Dec. 15, 2019 - Christmas content
March 15, 2020 - British Isles-focused content
June 7, 2020 - Songs for Summer (musicals, movies, etc.)
Additional performances in the community will be announced as they are confirmed.
We hope to see you soon.
